Senior Social Worker / Social Skills Group Instructor

Carrie Bergen, LCSW, specializes in child and adolescent mental health and building healthy families. Her clinical interests include autism spectrum disorders, emotional and behavior disorders and trauma. She has worked as an ABA Therapist and has provided social skills training for children and adolescents with autism for eight years. Ms. Bergen takes a strength-based approach to her work with a focus on socio-cultural and developmental influences and an emphasis on the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of the child.

Ms. Bergen earned her bachelors degree in psychology from DePaul University and her masters in social work degree from Loyola University Chicago.

Director of Operations

Kelly Travers Sansone, MSW, LSW, earned her bachelors degree in social work from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, in 1993 and her masters of social work degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998. She began her professional career as a school social worker with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum in 1998. Ms. Travers Sansone assumed her position as school social worker with Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago Therapeutic Day Schools in 2002, and began her current position as Senior Social Worker and Intake Coordinator at the Easter Seals Autism Therapeutic School & Center for Autism Research - Chicago in 2003.
